Painter, Margot Comer

Margot Comer earned her Associates Degree in Fine Art in Boston in 1962. After moving to California, Margot worked for 20 years as a graphic artist and graphic arts and advertising business owner, Studio 5 Graphics, until
1992. Since "retiring", Margot has devoted her creative energies to painting in oils and teaching.

As owner of Studio 5 Gallery for 3 years, Margot hosted one person shows, group shows, workshops and classes. Since 2003, Margot has returned to studio painting and teaching in venues such as Sierra College Continuing
Education, Roseville Parks and Recreation, and Sun City Roseville. She serves on the Board of Directors of Lincoln Hills Arts Association. Margot is also available to present demonstrations in oil painting to art groups in
Northern California. The links page offers connections to the organizations with which Margot is involved. Her gallery association is with the Noel Flynn Gallery in Roseville. She also shows in association group shows and a
one-person show at the Lake Forest Café in Folsom, CA.

On painting: “Every completed piece of art is a new creation expressing my sheer joy in visual expression and the pure love mastering the medium. The bold character of an original oil painting enhances a wall or a room with life and expression that cannot be found in reproductions or in other painting mediums.” Margot Comer

On teaching: “When you paint in my classes you can expect to learn the pure joy of using oil paint to express yourself, and you will learn the basics you will need to succeed in your painting experience.” Margot Comer
